About Us

Since 1869, the Boulder County Fair has been a living history book of our community's agricultural roots and a launchpad for the next generation of leaders. As the oldest county fair in Colorado, we take pride in bridging the gap between our rural heritage and our vibrant, growing urban landscape.

Whether you're here for the smell of funnel cakes, the roar of the demolition derby, or the quiet focus of a 4-H student showing their prize animal, you’re part of a tradition that has spanned 157 years.

Our Mission

The mission of the Boulder County Fair is to provide a resource to the community of both rural and urban heritage while showcasing 4-H youth, FFA youth and community members to enhance education and leadership. We provide agricultural opportunities for all attendees, meeting the interests and challenges of a changing world.

Who We Are

The Boulder County Fair is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. While we partner closely with Boulder County, we operate as an independent entity dedicated to the community. We believe that local traditions should be open to everyone, which is why we remain focused on accessibility to all who want to attend the fair.

Join Us!

Whether you’re a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, there is a place for you in the Fair Garden, at the carnival, or in the livestock barns. We invite you to help us write the next chapter of Colorado’s oldest fair.

The Boulder County Fair is committed to fostering an inclusive, safe and respectful environment for all.

2026 Dates: August 5th - 9th

See you at the Fair!
