Production Crew Job Description - 2026

Seasonal Production Crew Worker

Location: Longmont, CO (Boulder County Fairgrounds)

Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Job Type: Seasonal / Temporary (Summer)

About the Role

Are you looking for an epic summer job where you can work hard, play hard, and help bring one of Colorado’s biggest community events to life? The Boulder County Fair is looking for two (2) reliable, high-energy Production Crew Workers to join our team for the summer season.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role perfect for someone who loves working outdoors, isn't afraid of a little sweat, and wants to see the direct results of their hard work. From the first stake in the ground to the final teardown, you’ll be the gears that keep the fair running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our "all-around helpful hands" crew, your daily tasks will change, but primary duties include:

  • Event Setup & Takedown: Assisting with the heavy lifting required to build out and pack up the fairgrounds before, during, and after the 5 day event.
  • Site Prep: Striping parking lots, setting up security and crowd control fencing, and ensuring the grounds are safe and accessible.
  • Event Branding: Hanging banners, signs, and decorations across the fairgrounds.
  • General Manual Labor: Moving equipment, managing supplies, and tackling various physical tasks as they pop up to support the vendor and entertainment teams.
  • Other Duties as assigned: No job is too big or too small!

What We Are Looking For

  • Rock-Solid Accountability: You show up on time, ready to work, and do what you say you're going to do.
  • Hard Work Ethic: You take pride in a job well done and don't shy away from physical labor.
  • Stamina for the Elements: Fair days can be long, fast-paced, and hot. You should be physically capable of standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and working outdoors in the Colorado summer elements. You may spend time in a scissor lift or a boom lift, so you cannot be afraid of heights.
  • Team Players: A positive attitude is a must. You'll be working closely with a tight-knit crew, so collaboration and optimism go a long way.

The Perks

  • Competitive Summer Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour.
  • Exclusive Event Access: When you're off the clock, enjoy free access to exciting grandstand events, live music, and everything else the fair has to offer.
  • Incredible Team Culture: Work alongside a passionate, fun, and supportive team of people who love putting on a massive show.
  • Community Impact: Be a vital part of a historic Colorado tradition and make memories that last a lifetime.

To Apply

If you are ready to sweat, laugh, and build something awesome this summer, we want to hear from you! Please submit your application/resume and a brief note about why you're the right fit for the crew below!
