Duration: June 1, 2026 – August 28, 2026
Reports To: Zachary Thayer, Marketing Manager
Role Overview
Are you a high-energy storyteller with a "bubbly" personality who loves being in front of the camera? We are looking for a creative, organized, and proactive Seasonal Marketing Coordinator to join our team for the 2026 Fair season.
This isn't your typical "coffee-run" summer gig. You will be the right hand to our Marketing Manager, helping to bring our brand to life through social media content, graphic design, and on-site "Fair day" magic. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our sponsors feel like VIPs and our guests have an unforgettable experience from the moment they park their cars to the final event in the Grandstands.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & "The Face" of the Fair
- On Camera Personality: Act as the host for our social media channels. You’ll be interviewing vendors, giving sneak peeks of the barns, and capturing the excitement of the Midway.
- Digital Storytelling: Assist in filming and editing short-form video content that highlights our Grandstand events (Rodeo, Demo Derby, etc.).
- Design Work: Use tools like Canva or Adobe Suite to create digital assets, social posts, and promotional flyers.
2. Sponsorship & Admin Support
- Asset Management: This includes tracking logo submissions for the website and coordinating the printing of sponsor banners.
- Fulfillment: Ensure our "Base," "Grandstand," and "Title" sponsors receive their promised perks, including VIP Lamis (lanyards) and complimentary tickets.
- Organization: Assist with the administrative side of marketing, ensuring contracts and creative assets are filed and ready for production.
3. The "Fair Experience" & Signage
- Visual Impact: Design and coordinate the placement of wayfinding signage, barn schedules, and exhibit building displays to ensure a smooth guest flow.
- Atmosphere: Brainstorm and execute small "experience wins" for attendees (e.g., photo-op spots, interactive maps, or welcome station aesthetics).
- On-Site Execution: During Fair Week (Aug 5–9), you will be on the ground ensuring all sponsor banners are correctly displayed and the "vibe" is top-tier.
Qualifications
- Personality: Bubbly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to anyone—from a corporate sponsor to a 4-H participant.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in social media platforms and basic design software (Canva and Capcut is a must; Adobe is a plus).
- Reliability: Ability to follow a specific seasonal schedule, including a "Full-Court Press" during the week of August 5th –9th.
- Vision: An eye for detail. you notice when a sign is crooked or when a photo opportunity is missing a "wow" factor.
2026 Seasonal Schedule
- June: 2 days/week
- July: 5 days/week (The "Pre-Fair" build-out).
- Fair Week (Aug 5–9): Full immersion (High hours, including weekend events).
- Post-Fair (Late August): 2 days/week (Wrap-up, reporting, and thank-yous).
Compensation & Perks
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- VIP Access: You’re helping manage the VIP experience, so you’ll get to live it! Includes access to the Grandstands for all major events (Rodeo, Demo Derby, etc.).
- Networking: You’ll be working directly with our top-tier community leaders. This is a massive resume builder for anyone looking to go into high-level account management or marketing.
- Behind-the-Scenes: Get exclusive access to the barns, the arena, and the "inner workings" of a massive community event.
- Content Portfolio: You will leave this summer with a professional portfolio of high-performing social media content and physical signage designs.
