The Outdoor Arena Pits are a restricted access area; however, the general public is allowed to experience the Derby close up by purchasing PIT PASSES, on a first-come, first-served basis. It is THE best location to hear the roar of the crowds from the grandstands and watch the cars and drivers close-up. The pass allows access before, during, and after the show. There will be limited seating in the Pit Area, so we recommend you buy your passes soon. Purchase your Pit Pass above.
All Pit Pass Guests must sign a waiver of liability at the Pit Desk for access. Minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by a parent who will complete a minor waiver of liability form.

Tickets are available online here and the ticket sales office and will be subject to ticket handling fees.
Step 1 Purchase the pit passes now OR at the ticket sale counter in front of the Outdoor Arena gates (hours listed below).
Step 2 Go the Pit Registration Tent located in the NE parking lot, near the Arena Pit Entrance, Boulder County Fairgrounds, day of the event, starting at 10:00 a.m. until the Derby ends.
Step 3 Show your ticket scan code or paper ticket to the registration staff there. You will then complete and sign a waiver and be
issued a wristband to wear throughout the entire day/event.
Step 4 Enter the Pit area through the NE Outdoor Arena Gate and enjoy the show!
Your wristband cannot be removed and must be worn throughout the event to access food and beer south of the grandstands and for re-entry from outside the gates. No alcoholic beverages allowed in the Pits. The event runs rain or shine. All ticket sales are final and non-transferrable. No refunds. Be prepared for security bag check. Clear bags are recommended to help the lines run smoother.
