The Outdoor Arena Pits are a restricted access area; however, the general public is allowed to experience the Derby close up by purchasing PIT PASSES, on a first-come, first-served basis. It is THE best location to hear the roar of the crowds from the grandstands and watch the cars and drivers close-up. The pass allows access before and after the show. There will be limited seating in the Pit Area, so we recommend you buy your passes soon.
All Pit Pass Guests must sign a waiver of liability at the Pit Desk for access. Minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by a parent who will complete a minor waiver of liability form.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are not allowed in the Arena, unless they are a driver in the Power Wheels event only. Once the event begins, all children and adults in the Pit area (unless you are a driver) must be seated in the grandstands seating area. Please comply to allow staff, tow trucks, emergency vehicles and drivers to move around the pits, as needed, safely.

Day of the event: $40.00
Pit Passes are available online (see above), at the Pit Pass Registration Tent, day of the event, or the ticket sales office. All ticket purchases will be subject to ticket handling fees. Please follow the steps below to sign waivers and get your wristband to access the pit area. Wristbands will only be distributed day of the event, after the waiver has been signed.
Option 1 – Purchase Pit Pass prior to August 10th. Then, day of the event, go to the Pit Pass Registration Tent located at the SOUTHEAST Outdoor Arena entrance, Boulder County Fairgrounds, any time after 10:00 a.m. Show your ticket scan code or paper ticket to the registration staff there. You will then complete and sign the waiver and be issued a wristband to wear throughout the event.
OR
Option 2 – Day of the Event: Go the Pit Registration Tent located at the SOUTHEAST Outdoor Arena entrance, Boulder County Fairgrounds, purchase your Pit Pass, starting at 10:00 a.m., complete and sign a waiver and be issued a wristband to wear throughout the event.
OR
Option 3 – Purchase your Pit Pass at the Ticket Sales office, day of the event, sign the waiver there and get your wristband. This line may be long, so please plan accordingly.
Your wristband cannot be removed and must be worn throughout the event to access food and beer within the grandstands and for re-entry from outside the Arena gates. No alcoholic beverages allowed in the Pits. The event runs rain or shine. All ticket sales are final and non-transferrable. No refunds. Be prepared for security bag check. Clear bags are recommended to help the lines run smoother.
